Trip to Ireland
We took an airplane from Venice to Dublin (duration 2:45) and here is on photo above the Alps.
After arriving in Dublin airport we took a bus to Galway. Trip took around 3 hours and we went for late dinner (after check-in).
Few photos from Galway:
In the morning we have a breakfast – I choose some Irish type:
I went to pick-up the rented car (half hour of walk from the hotel) and tried to adapt quickly on right-hand side driving. It was not as difficult as I expected, the main problem for me knowing all the time where is the left side of the car. I had a problem to keep car on a proper distance from the left side of the road but I used to it after few hours. We went to the Cliff of Moher and decided to took a 8km trail. We were lucky with a weather and the only problem was return because there weren’t any bus shuttles – Covid destroyed this business and they never returned. We finally got one of three available taxies and returned to the car. Here are few images:
On the return we stopped at Dunguaire castle – very nice…
We returned to Galway and went around the city and have a dinner.
Tomorrow we decided to take a road trip along the western coast to the Northern Ireland town named Bushmills. On the road we visited Kalemore Abbey and few images from there:
Few more images from this road trip…
Tomorrow, we went to Giant’s Causeway – very interesting basalt rocks structures…
After that we visited The Dark Hedges – spooky forest
Few more random photos…
We returned the car at the Dublin’s airport and took a bus shuttle to our hotel there. We had a dinner and before that we walked a little bit around…
